On episode 6, we interview artist and art studio owner Marwa Hachem.

Marwa Hachem is an artist based in Michigan. She was born in 1992 and raised in Lebanon prior to migrating to the USA in 2007. She has been practicing art since she was 15 years old. To take her passion to a professional level, she obtained her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Wayne State University in 2017.

She expresses her art through acrylic and oil paintings, and she has exhibited her work in the USA and Lebanon between the years of 2010 and 2014, prior to getting married and being decommissioned for 5 years for taking care of her family. In 2020, she resumed her journey with full-throttle and began painting unique portraits and pieces of art, along with commissioned work by her clients. she also had opportunities to participate and demonstrate her work at local galleries and shows.

in 2022 Marwa opened her own art studio Marwa Hachem Fine Arts Studio, with a mission is to provide a welcoming space equipped with tools that facilitate unrestricted artistic expression. She aims to offer both learning opportunities and a therapeutic sanctuary for individuals to delve into the world of art without self-censorship. Marwa was awarded the Mayor’s Art Award in 2023 in the artist performer category.

Marwa aspires to paint for women as a reminder of how powerful they are, by harnessing and embracing their true selves. her passion resides in empowering women and feminine energy. As is her inspiration driven by her role models, the women around her who are thriving to achieve their dreams.

Marwa‘s focus now is to provide a safe space that encourages art without constraints, integrating education and therapeutic elements to facilitate healing. Particularly, to support mothers during challenging phases of their lives through the power of art.
